PATH welcomes support from Robert Griffiths KC

PATH (Pembrokeshire Action for The Homeless) is delighted to announce the support and involvement of Robert Griffiths KC, one of the UK’s leading barristers, as the charity takes forward its ambitious plans to expand and sustain its work with some of the most vulnerable people in our community.

Robert, who grew up in Pembrokeshire and practises law in London, has agreed to become involved with PATH at a crucial time for the charity. His experience, insight, and extensive networks will strengthen the charity’s efforts to secure long-term funding, diversify income streams, and raise its profile locally and nationally.

During a recent visit to Haverfordwest, Robert met with PATH’s Managing Director, Michael Hooper, to discuss the charity’s future direction. The wide-ranging conversation explored new fundraising opportunities, the potential to host high-profile events, and innovative ideas such as developing a social estate agency to generate sustainable income while tackling housing need.

Robert also expressed his enthusiasm for the charity’s vision to revitalise communities and provide practical support for those experiencing homelessness and poor mental health. He has already offered to provide feedback on PATH’s emerging business case for new initiatives and to help open doors that could lead to transformative opportunities.

Speaking after the meeting, Michael Hooper said: “We are thrilled that Robert has agreed to support us. His knowledge, commitment, and passion for Pembrokeshire come at exactly the right moment, as we look to strengthen our services and build a sustainable future. His involvement will make a real difference to our ability to deliver for the people who rely on us.”

Robert Griffiths KC added: “Pembrokeshire has always been close to my heart, and I am impressed by the work PATH is doing to support people facing real hardship. I am delighted to lend my support at this important time, and I look forward to working with the team to help strengthen the charity and create new opportunities for the community.”

PATH looks forward to working with Robert in the months ahead to build on this momentum and continue its mission to prevent homelessness, improve mental wellbeing, and create brighter futures in Pembrokeshire.
